So what do you think people?
Is being a tomboy really that unattractive?
So what do you think people?
hi I have two elder brothers and no sisters and that is one of the reasons why I have a boyish attitude...during college or at school I felt more at ease with the boys of my class rather than girls( we loved disturbing the class)...i'll turn 20 this year but before I was dressed a bit like a tomboy, i.e: no makeup or girlish accessories.but since I've been dating boys I started having a more feminine attitude( wearing dresses, heels, makeup), more sensual...what you should be proud of is that it would be extremely easy to understand the attitude of guys and that whenever there are guys around you, you will feel comfortable/ at ease...and one more thing...many guys like this attitude...and even some told me not to get rid of this tomboy side of my personality!
Just be you..im kinda tomboyish myself...I love wearing men's shirts and I buy my jeans from the boys department lol..I would wear a baseball cap everyday but I'm scared I will go bald..I don't like girly clothes unless their loose fitting..I hate dressing up...I'm pretty athletic...I think it's appealing to sum guys to see a girl that is kinda boyish but not in a lesbian kinda way. With all the other girls wearing spandex these days sum men...men not boys maybe like this...date older.
Those guys are asses. You're still young, so I assume they are as well. When the people around you get a little older, no one will care whether you're a bit boyish. Being a tomboy is not unattractive, but it's not exactly attractive either. They won't say much about it, but if you act like a guy, they will see you as a guy. It's really that simple. I'm a tomboy as well. Guys like the attitude that goes with it, but it will not help them see you as dating material.
As I said before, I'm 17 and I'll turn 18 in two months and I have NO plans to change.
That's OK about the dating material, I just strongly dislike being judged, that's all.. :)
I mean what's about this misconception, we're still straight girls, what's the big deal? I won't care anymore..
Guys more the most part prefer girly girls. Just like women are not as attracted to men that act like women. How many women do you know that prefer girly guys? Men are willing to settle for a tomboy if there is a shortage of girly girls, and there is a shortage, but it is still unattractive to most guys. Most guys are never going to be as attracted to a woman with male traits, as he will to a woman that has female traits. This however is not the politically correct thing to say, so a lot of women keep getting bad advice, and will actually try harder to act like a guy to impress men.
I understand, good for girly girls then.
I am getting the impression you were only looking for people to tell you what you wanted to hear, and not honesty.
no no no I swear..
I was looking for honest answers, I was just being genuinely frank about how lucky girly girls are and good for them, that's all. I truly respect your opinion.
Okay. Sorry. I guess I read it the wrong way.
no prrroblem?
Just be who you are girl, if no one wants to be with you because of it, fuck em'.
I know right? fuck them..

I think it was a weird way to tease you. Being a tomboy is actually more attractive in my book because it means you're not all superficial. The bad thing is when tom boys start having farting and burping contests... that's gross.
Otherwise, no you're fine the way you are.
Ok, here is the thing. Some guys like tomboys. Some guys hate them. Some guys are indifferent. If you truly want to be a person who is secure, then you realize that a particular guy not liking your style means nothing to your self esteem. Exactly why the phrase. 'There are plenty of fish in the sea' comes into place.
I am dating one I think tomboys are the best because they have no problem doing "Active" things instead of just shopping, cooking, talking on the phone and all the other stuff that costs a crap load of money... :)
hahah good for your girl :)
Rare are the guys who likes tomboys.
Lol.. aww that's cute.. he's trying to be a tough guy.. just laugh, he's a loser.
hahah yess he is, he had a crush on me and I rejected him that is mainly why he is so pissed and bitter but I've never thought he would dare to insult that way in front of people and some girls pitied me because of that, that was an attitude of a loser, you're just right..
He sounds immature, don't take anything he says or does to heart.. the kid has a lot of growing up to do.
Every person is different and if you have "tom boy" tendencies that's just fine. Be the individual you are :)
thank you :)
ive noticed younger girls, go through the "tomboy stage", just like college girls are going to "experiment", I think you'll eventually grow out of it, especially as you start to get into careers
I'm 17, I'll turn 18 in two months which means college next year and I'm definitely NOT planning to change what I'm now. I hate spas/make up/shopping all that crap and I don't I would ever.
So yeah.. :)
lol I hope so..
I know it is, sadly for me, but I don't I would change that just to be more appealing and "attractive", it is what it is :(
I wouldn't*
lol what the fuck
Guys and Girls are most attracted to confidence but not arrogance, loving yourself and owning your insecurities will instantly make you more attractive. The truth is what you think is a flaw will likely be the thing a future partner will love the most.
I think tom boys are cool…I only have a problem when they think they are better than everyone else. I'm not really girly or a tomboy….so screw what people think because tom boys are just as attractive as girly girls (and usually aren't so 2 faced:P)
I prefer girly girls, but a girl with a few tomboy tendencies is fine.
oh good for girly girls then :)
Miley Cyrus, Pink are tom boys
I like tomboyish girls :P
height has nothing to do with attitude
