Why does a guy and his friends look at you? Please help me out :(

Last year I noticed a guy a grade younger than me stare at me a lot in the halls and dances. I found out that he's a very outgoing guy, but he was always distant and shy around me. I found out he liked me because his friends told me in the summer and he was there..but he didn't bother stopping them from telling me. Him and I had a class together last semester, but we were too shy to talk to each other. We'd only stare at each other..especially during the school dances we wouldn't take our eyes off each other. Whenever we'd have the odd time that we'd talk to each other in the class he's stammer a bit and would avoid getting into conversation with me, instead he'd try to grab my attention by doing dumb things. We always had something going on but at the same time nothing. For the entire first semester him and his friends kept staring at me and my friends.

Unfortunately I really messed up and I know my mistake..my cousin an I were fooling around during Xmas and we saw his number on facebook. I decided to text him merry Xmas, long story short..once he found out I was the one texting him he stopped texting me, deleted and blocked me off facebook which was stupid. I was really hurt that he'd be immature and over react. When we got back to school things were awkward but he kept staring.

Now this semester I don't even acknowledge the fact that he's around me. He even stopped looking at me in the halls and at times in the dance. Its been a few months since the incident and my friends and I are starting to realize that him and his friends are starting to stare at me again on a regular basis in the halls. I've been trying to get over him but I cant..Would there be a reason why he's started noticing me again with his friends? Please leave a message to help me out. Thanks!

You shouldn't have texted him if he hadn't gave you his number himself.

I don't understand why you would stay anonymous, "he stopped texting me" leads me to believe that there was conversation between you two, I would guess he thought you were trying to pull a prank on him.

The facts:

1. He knows you know he likes you

2. You got his phone number without him knowing

3. You texted him anonymously

Honestly, I would have overreacted by blocking you on Facebook as well.

Luckily, actions on Facebook don't have a strong correlation with actions in the real world. If you sense him looking at you all the time, he's still interested in you.

He probably thinks you were just being cruel and messing with him. If you know and he knows you do, and you don't act, that implies to him that you don't reciprocate. No response generally gets interpreted as a "no".

He probably started avoiding you because he thought you were cruel and was embarrassed, but have you started staring back at him? He might be getting hopeful that you like him, and is slowly feeling more confortable giving you attention?

Have you apologized to him? If you don't have the guts to do it yourself, have your less shy friends do it for you. It'll show him you care.

I’ve had almost exactly same thing happen to me. But the guy I texted something stupid to doesn’t really look at me anymore only sometimes but all his friends do it. It’s nice to have someone else have the same problem.

I am glad you know your mistake. Just don't say anything to him. He will probably end up messageing you back. Or later ask him how he is doing in person

I have a feeling that he won't because this happend back in December so I don't know..If he actually messages me I think that would be a miracle and would make my day. I don't understand this though, I was at the mall with a friend a few days ago and I came across a group of his friends. As soon as we passed each other his friends were pointing saying "is that her ?" then his friend said "bro, (my crushes name) should of been here". I didn't understand what his friend was trying to say.

That is interesting... don't think of it ok...he might message you or you might hear somethig
