My boyfriend said: "Love you, goodnight." Does that mean the same as I love you?

The question says it all. He's told me before that he thinks he's falling for me, but if this really means that he loves me, it would be the first time he had said it straight out. Does he mean it?

A lot of times no. I see it all the time, guys will say that to get out of saying "I love you." Don't get me wrong though, its not a bad thing. If he really is falling for you then he is probably just worried about saying it too soon or not completely sure of how you feel about him. It depends a lot on how long you have been dating and what your relationship is like. I wouldn't take it as a bad thing, maybe try and move the relationship a little further to get him more comfortable and to show him that you guys are serious enough for that, that is, of course, if that is what you want!

As a girl it bothers me when my honey doesn't say I love you and just love you. But he thinks it means the same.. your guy may just be tired and wanting to get off phone. I wouldn't worry...guys don't see it like we do I don't think.
