When I was 23 I got pregnant with my past boyfriend at the time. We both wanted a baby so we tried for one then I ended up pregnant. His parents were supported and his friends were supportive too. I announced my pregnancy to his friends and he congratulated us. Me and him were still living with our parents at the time. I was planning on living at his parents house after the baby was born. We both had part time jobs. But my mom found out I was pregnant and was very pissed and not supportive at all and made me have an abortion because I wasn’t ready for a baby yet. She thought that it wasn’t the right time because I wasn’t settled and I only had a part time job and he did too. I ended up having the abortion when I wanted the baby and he did too and my ex boyfriend was mad I gotten the abortion. there isn’t a day where I don’t think about it and see how my life would be like as a mother at that time. But I know other girls that gotten pregnant while still living with their parents and their parents were very supportive. Could me being autistic be the reason my mom made me have an abortion? Should I have kept the baby and moved in with my ex bf’s parents house because I was adult who can make decisions? Some people think that I should have kept the baby and moved in with his parents because I’m an adult and should have not listened to my mom! What do you think about this?

Couple years back i had a talk with this person about child rearing and stuffs like that as they mentioned they are planning on having a child with their partner, and the topic of kids with autism came up. Basically they told me if they had a kid and the kid were autistic they would give that kid up for adoption because it would be too much stress and they would end up resenting their child. Personally i don’t have the highest regards for well-off people with all the supports in the world who plan to abandon their autistic child even prior to having one, and still go on and have a planned pregnancy anyway knowing full well kids don’t always come out neurotypical. These are the people that need to be child free in my opinion. And yes i am aware people have free will and i don’t plan to intervene, it just saddens me to some extent. I don't know what do you think about this situation?

I got married a year ago and we had several issues in the first 6 months of our marriage especially because of my toxic in-laws. My in-laws came to my house and threatened me, started swearing and made me visibly shaken. For the past several months, my husband seemingly improved and started standing up for me. We then tried to conceive and fell pregnant shortly after. However, things with my in-laws escalated and they consistently started disrespecting me. My MIL complained about me to the point where I felt I couldn’t even breathe without them accusing me of something. My husband comes home crying if I "upset" his mum, but even if they clearly verbally harass me, he shows no remorse.

I told my husband about this and he called me a "cr*zy b*tch", we got into an argument and he threatened to punch my pregnant belly tho he knew I was 6 weeks pregnant (something he's never done before).

I froze and the next day told him that I don't feel comfortable with him attending the first prgenancy scan. He says I'm being unreasonable as that's his child and that I have no right to do this to him.
