I'm guessing with honesty? If they're asking that, it means they're extremely attracted to your hair color. They really wonder if its legit, or dyed. Regardless, they're just asking for information, if you answer 'Yes' they'd probably say something like 'OMG its lovely' and feel even more attracted to you, and if you answer 'No' they'd probably say... honestly I have no idea what they'd say but most of them they'd judge you internally and tag you as a redhead wannabe. Others wouldn't really care.
Anyway, I think you should just answer No, and say you dyed it couple weeks/days/months ago.

If they're people you'll never see again, it honestly doesn't matter much! But I would say it's better to tell the truth, there's nothing wrong with dyed hair! :) If it were me, and I said it was my natural hair color, I would worry about telling 2 people different things, and them knowing each other and figuring out I lied about something so trivial! Of course, I'm from a very small town where everyone knows each other, and I'm a bit of a worrywart in general, haha!
I don't think they are trying to be rude, it's just that natural red hair is quite rare. I have naturally red hair and whenever I go anywhere I always have tons of people ask me if it's natural or not, and then they usually tell me how lucky I am
