it used to be a male fantasy but now housewives are on the rare side but they must exist... if you look at the price of childcare it would make sense to be a housewife especially if you have more than 1 child... i don't have kids but i can see being a housewife... but what do i know maybe there's programs where the goverment watches your children... or jobs that have playrooms i haven't come across one but i have heard they exist... it's a bad society for children... i wish it was like the 50s again.
Some do.
The problem is, self-proclaimed housewives are often princesses who expect the guy to pay for all their stuff. These women want all the good parts of being "traditional", without any of the bad.
This isn't the 1950's, people should be independent.
I'd hate to be a housewife. I've always worked. I'm too independent to stay at home. I'd care for my husband and kids needs, and look after our home, but I'd work at the same time
To be honest, I'd be happy him being a househusband and me being the breadwinner
My dear most of us want a housewife it's just that most women don't want to be one.
Now this is only the case if you know basic life skills though like cooking, cleaning and you know the typical stuff that comes with being a housewife, make sure you can do those things before making that choice.
Not really.
I am pretty sure I don't want kids and I don't really make that much of a mess so I don't see why I would need a woman who stays home full-time.
The only appealing aspect of a housewife is if she's a good cook. Otherwise I don't see how I would benefit from having one.

i'd be fine with my wife being a housewife if we made enough money to live comfortably on one salary
Do I want a woman that is a slave tied down to a ball and chain in the kitchen cooking and cleaning? No.
Do I want a woman that makes me do everything, cook, clean, make money, provide everything while she goes out and does anything she wants? No.
DO I want her to be in someplace fair in between those two extremes? Yes
Yes. Ultimately it should be the woman's choice if she wants to work or be a housewife and I'd respect either choice. But I'd love to have a housewife.
Depends, i know someone that she didn't want to work, wanted to be a housewife but didn't know a damn thing about housework at all.
Personally, at least from what i have noticed, for a family, it is better to have two incomes. Maybe a working house wife then, someone in between
Of course we do. And you'll find that the higher quality the man is, in terms of the qualities women look for in a man, the more likely he'll be to prefer a housewife and full-time mother for his children.
No most want an equal, someone who works and does half the cooking and chores. There's gonna be a lot of chores piling up that way unless the girl is a type A workaholic.
Yes here please. Avery se*y hot one and can raise our children to become good men and women. Do you have someone in mind? :D
Perhaps a better question is just how feasible it is. To raise a family nowadays seems to require both partners to bring in income more often than not.
So perhaps a lot of guys would still like a housewife, but economically can't make it work.
I had be happy if he let me be housewife. In fact I would have more time to focus on achievements.
I think the house wife appeal is still there, it's the finances that is the concern.
Yes most do. But that's not realistically possible unless the guy is loaded
Or unless the wife is willing to live at the standard her husband can provide.
nope i dont want kids so i'd rather have a girl with a good job, she doesn't have to make as much as me but its so much better when there's a dual income
I wouldn't mind being a housewife if I could work from home. Otherwise, I'll stay at home till the kids are at school and get back to work.
Nowadays, having the woman work as well will make the entire household more financially comfortable.
No, they don't. Because of the "equality" stuff they want their women to bring money... If not she's considered a prostitute and a maid. (What some guys on gag told me).
Whats a housewife. She marrid to the house ey. Someone tell me im not even joking, i dont know what it is.
someone that doesn't work and takes care of all the household chores and kids.
well they typically don't work. some do.
It's the 21st century and it's basic econ. Both of them working means more money to the household. Does not make any sense to only have one of them working
lol, depends.
Can you cook better than every restaurant?
What dimension do you live in where guys reject housewives?
Yes. Due to internet now people can have a job from home. This means that you can both make money while you can be a house wife.
