Marriage Tradition or Relevant?

I find it so sad that anymore anyone who gets married just consider divorce. I also hate that so many have given up on the idea and sanctity of marriage. While I savor the idea of being single a while and enjoying myself, I have always intended to become married and make it last. Many see marriage as offering them nothing anymore and I simply don't see it that way. I think marriage offers a life long partner who is there for you through it all and you can share your life with. It is a unifying of two people that makes sense both fiscally and emotionally. I think much of the issues of marriage stem from today's over sexuality and from the lack of perseverance instilled in the entitled youth as well as the loss of faith in religion. Marriage used to be a sacred thing and now with so many people giving up on religion all together I feel many find it hard to take this sanctity seriously. While I agree with changing views to fit the times I feel it is necessary to hold core morals at the center of the society and remind one another that there are certain lines that shouldn't be crossed. I don't believe that homosexuality is a sin. I think you are free to love who you love. But I think love is sacred and that should you enter into a marriage you should go in knowing you are completely devoted forever to that person and know that adultery is a sin and should not be taken lightly. Marriage is not something that should be taken lightly or seen as outdated. It should be treasured.
