"Mhmk".. What does it mean, and why does he say it all the time?

Told my ex when he was mad, "I love you, but you don't love me". His reply was, "Mhmk". He says 'mhmk' allllll the time. Why would he say 'mhmk' to what I said, and all the time in general? I feel like he truly does still have feelings for me, but he won't tell me. I'm not sure what to think at this point.

You are giving his ego a big boost by telling him that you love him. Stop contacting him. He is just mocking your emotions.
