Boyfriend depressed, what do I do?

I just woke up to this message. I don't know what it means exactly. Does he want to take a break from us? The reason he said he's sorry if I don't feel loved is because a week or so ago I told him he has been acting less affectionate towards me than he used to and it makes me feel like he doesn't like me anymore. I don't know what I'm supposed to do..

In my mind i guess i was more so thinking i really need ypur support but if your not going to help me and im hirting you we need a break

I just replied that I want him to be happy no matter what it takes and that whatever he decides I'll be okay. How exactly do I support him? Because it sounds like he wants a break from us and if that what he needs that's fine. So do I support him by just being okay with what he chooses?

Go with the flow but show him you really do care
You have to be able to get him to trust you unlike he would anyone else
Because emotionally he's a wreck

We've been together for a year and a half but friends for 3. We have told each other things we've never told anyone else. Thank you for the advice
