Why does my ex still feel guilty about our break up?

She broke up with me because at the time there was a lot of stress in her life and she told me she needed to find herself. She told me that it wasn't because she didn't love me but she couldn't love someone else before being able to love herself.

Now that we have reconnected we talked about our relationship and in during the time that we talked she strongly mentions the fact that she broke up with me was the genuine reason even tho i never asked.

What does it really mean when she feels guilty about the breakup?

Does she regret it? Is she trying to bring herself up? Does she feel bad for me?

no idea my ex contacted me many times , but i never replied to her even tho i have red the messege
dont go back on the same trash
if she feels bad about the break up and its because of her dont even talk to her - she is like a ghost to you
