When you have a gut feeling that you should marry. Should you fall for it?

My boyfriend of 3 years and I decided to have a break. He wanted to breakup at first because he told me the sparkle wasn’t happening anymore and that he had a gut feeling that he shouldn’t marry me. Even though he always said he saw a future with me, but all this happened after I told him that it would be great if we could get engaged next year. He told me that he still loves me and likes me, but he doesn’t feel prepared to marry. He also told me that he needs time alone, that he misses his hobbies, that’s when I proposed to have a break of the relationship so we could Think about what we want and maybe fix things. Do you think this gut feeling is just a reaction of him being scared of commitment?

you should never ever let your gut feeling just have free reign... get help from people that are important to you and ask them how they feel about it. take a step back and try to think with the logical part of your brain. if all those 3 things confirm that this is the best decision, then i would say go for it.
