Will time clarify the misunderstanding between me and my crush?

There's this guy I love for like 2 years... We've been friends for 3 years. And he has trust issues.
Some days before someone told him something totally insane about me and he believed it. He even scolded me.
But personally I don't want to go and clear the misunderstanding because he will think I'm lying so I'm trying to do that and also because I value my self respect.(if he didn't bother to ask me about the misunderstanding directly, why should I go and explain myself like a total idiot?)
Moreover he isn't even ready to listen my side of the story.
What should I do?

God sees everything, Humans are Blind Shitless... Explain your side, if he doesn't believe you then you two were never really friends; the fact tgat he was so willing to believe this about you and not come to you speaks Volumes:
1) Friendship was Nothing
2) He's seen whatever was said to him in you with others so finds it believable.

If it's the second, you should evaluate yourself before trying to explain anything. If I were you I would think about what has been said and make sure you haven't behaved in this manner that was talked about to someone... Search for your part in this whole scenario...

If I were you, the moment he scolded me for nothing, preferring to believe in rumors about me than asking me about it, I would have retaliated and shouted back at him.
Now that the incident has passed and you are only deciding to clear the misunderstanding now, I find it fruitless. Of course, he will think you are lying because you didn't clear the misunderstanding immediately.
To be honest, you will be better off without such a friend anyway. What kind of friend believes in rumors and rubbish about you? I don't think time will clear any misunderstanding, only actions.

The best thing to do is to confront the person who spread that nasty rumor. And dont confront them with anger or disdain. Anger will never bring about truth.
Once you are able to reconcile with the deceiver ask them for help in explaining things to this crush.
And together talk with him.

He is the one with issues, not you. You don't owe him any explanation. Frankly, I'd be done having a relationship with a person like that.

I chose A. Not because of God. He has nothing to do with this. but because if he could've asked for clarity. Instead he scolded you. A person who doesn't seem reasonable is only a waste of time.

I only explain myself if I find that the chances are high to resolve.. so if a person has not only trust issues but also felt the need to accept the first assumptions as truth.. then to decide to scold. Then what point is there? If he wants to ask for clarity then go for it.
