My mom hit me in the right eye and it hurts when I move it too much and comes into contact with light?

I have finals this week and I was studying with one of my sisters in the room. She was being too nosy so I just called her name so she can stop. This is when my mom comes in because I sounded to aggressive but then she said I told her to stop even though I only called her name and I said that isn’t what I said. That’s when she comes to me and pops me in the mouth and hits me in the right eye with her knuckle hard. My eye started to tear up and I got really mad and upset. We always get into it but with the stress of finals and reflecting on my life, it just added to the fuel and I broke down. My eye since yesterday feels heavy and everytime light hits it, it gets a little irritated. I don’t know. I just needed to vent.

First of all, I highly doubt your mom purposely intended you any harm. She saw your behavior, like a young child that needs discipline, even though you're much older now. She heard your mouthiness along with attitude, and she chose to put you in your place - physically. Your eye injury was an unintended consequence of her actions. The lesson here is to put your brain in gear before your mouth is in motion. I'm sure you're well aware of that though.

A good thing though, is that eyes heal extremely fast, especially in young people. I'm willing to say your eye feels better today and by tomorrow, it'll feel even better!

Like someone suggested, get some eye drops to help your eye feel better. For the future, think about ways to prevent your mom from going that far with you - at least while you're still under her roof.

If yo mom did that just cus u called her name, then I think she might need some temper management. Not even any acquaintance would do that for sure petty thing and it's a mom hitting her child, smh.
I would suggest u to stay away for the most u could till ur finals are over and keep your sister by ur side.
Work and life stress messes up ones mind so she might get better if she gets the medication she needs.
And I hope u do great in yo exams and u getting ur medication for the eyes and it gets better soon.

No matter what the law is, she's your mother and she's not perfect.
Your mother may have made a mistake in what she did, but don't forget you pushed her to do it, so you two are both in the same boat. What you have to do is sit down together to sort things out.

I feel that. My mother is aggressive and abusive too. When I was young and small she'd hit me all the time, but when I was around 15 I got strong enough to hold my own. I got a C on a test and she tried to threaten me like she used to and I told her in no uncertain terms that if she touched me I would fight her seriously. I don't play those games anymore. I have more worth than that.

Your situation is normal for most children in world cuz we live in econimic problems stressful
I recommend not to call police until it is life threatening but your mother will not hurt you this bad
