Is it wrong to expect someone to handle a break up will?

So my ex girlfriend told me her parents no longer want us dating. I kind of acting like a hurt simp during this time and feel like my time was wasted. My ex girlfriend known this may happen and told me if they tried doing this she wouldn't allow it. She knowns I have a history of this happened to me twice because of my skin color or me being poor. So it kind of something I have a lot of truma in being told I love you but can't date you because of my parents. I have another girlfriend who 27 who I was hanging out with as a friend but that stopped since her dad who forced her to dump me 7 years ago said we can't be friends. Anyway why do people expect you to acted perfectly during a break up?

As humans we tend to make a mistake of thinking others feel or think as we do. It’s wrong to think that your girlfriend should feel or think as you do, so don’t argue it out as if she’s supposed to feel or think the way you do. To you, what she expects is wrong, but to her, it’s the opposite. All people are in relationships for different self known reasons and yours and hers are different. So count your losses and walk.

Exactly. You had the foresight to see it coming. And she didn't believe you. She wasn't taking it seriously.
