Why do I keep dreaming of my ex with a new partner?

Three days straight I have dreamt of my ex with a new guy. I personally didn’t recognize the guys in my dreams either. It was a new person in every dream. So far my ex and I are in good terms and still talk and sleep together regularly. Far as I know she isn’t talking to anyone. I know people will just say to move on but when you got trauma bonds it’s easier said than done. Anyway, I just want to know why I keep having these dreams. I haven’t gotten a good nights rest in a while.
