Baby daddy very angry at having to attend court?

Broke up with baby daddy 2 months ago, we both called eachother wild names and said very hurtful things to one another. It was a bad so we rarely speak at all now.

We can't come to a set contact arrangement for our son, we have both been petty and childish this last while back I guess due to the breakup and being hurt, but now I just want what's best for our son and would like contact arranged.

We sent a few texts back and fourth this last 2 days, and spoke on the phone today. It seemed to be going pretty well, but now court proceedings are going ahead, he has went crazy at me. He told me not to speak to him again.

I just dont understand why he's so angry at me, I have did nothing wrong, we both attended legal firms so it wasn't my decision. Can I have a man's opinion on why he is reacting this way and how can I help or fix the situation.

He’s probably upset because men tend to get the shit end of the stick when it comes to custody battles in court

I don't know what to do. I've offered him everything I can and he says no. Just wants it on his terms or nothing 🤷

@asker it’s going to be tough, but I do agree that at this point the best case for this is in a courts hands because it’s something that obviously can’t be sorted out against you two (not saying it’s your fault)

Yes my lawyer said the same but he is blaming me for it going ahead. It's so stressful

Just because he’s mad, doesn’t make him right lol if he was trying to make things work co parenting wise, you wouldn’t have gotten to the point of needing to bring it to court. Yes it makes him look bad that he doesn’t care about the child first to the point where he’s not willing to compromise which is another reason to be mad

Thank you for that, you're right about it wouldn't have got to that point if he had of tried more. Maybe we could try and come to a solution but I'm sort of giving up offering 🙄
