My friend keeps telling me the same things over and over?

We talk on the phone about once or twice a week and to be honest i am glad I know him.

he has great insight and is very intelligent.

But he frequently talks about

the same topics about relationships he has with the same people

Sometimes I find myself thinking “how can he not remember that he just told me that last week? And not only that. How can

he not remember that he has forgotten that he told me that the week before that also?”

It is as if he has some type of dementia but i know he does not.

this is the first point I want to make

Possibly he has nothing else going for him and or these same topics are significant to him that it overwhelms him.
