Boyfriend of 3 years, 5 months long distance, said he has been considering breaking up because he doesn’t see an end game. I told him that it’s important we focus on our careers and we continue our relationship. It’s good, we don’t fight, and best friends.
We didn’t end up fighting the solution to the “Are we going to work on this together or break up.” So as I’m heading to the airport, I ask again. We both just kind of sit in silence. Then he gives me multiple hugs goodbye and says “we’re good, I’ll call you later”
He calls later and we talk about the nfl game and other stuff but nothing about the relationship.
if he truly wanted to break up, why be affectionate? Why call? Why not just say we’re done and be over?
