What's the right amount of time to wait before getting with soemone else after a breakup?

For the sake of the question, lets say you'd been with someone for a year.

Honestly, it would depend on the situation. I was told there's this three months rule but personally and from what I hear and observe from people I know, the rule doesn't apply to all. People have different ways of grieving from loss (i. e. a breakup) and going through the process of moving on and letting go. It really isn't about the timeframe, it's about how ready a person is to start dating/meeting others again. Like, has this person gained back that self love and value of himself/herself? When a person feels and thinks he/she is ready, I'd say that's the time.

Let's say that there will be this morning when you are going to wake up and not think about that person. I guess that's the right period of time. But people go trough pain in different ways. Trust in yourself I would say. A year ain't that long a year ain't that short. So hang in there and enjoy a brand new page in the adventure called life.
