How to approach my husband about ending our marriage if he’s on his last treatment for cancer?

We’ve been married for 8 years. We’re done and I’m done with him. We don’t have kids. Doctors say he’s doing great. He is a great guy.

I have an illness as well and working hard to find a cure. I’m tired of being there for him (he kinda deserves it but I deserve to take care of myself as well.) I don’t like him anymore but I do love him as a family. I told him already before this and he gets mad. We both killed this relationship. I’m so tired but I feel guilty. If I find a cure and live longer, I want to reserve myself for a good man who will actually protect me and make happy. I can see he’s in love with me but I’m not anymore he killed it way before getting sick and I did wrong as well.

Given the information, I don't really understand why you think any other relationship you get in will be different than this one. You make it sound as if you are entitled to someone better than him, even though you and him sounds like perfect equals.

There is no special way to do this and make it fine just got to end it but people will see it as shitty so be prepared
