Why do some cultures believe that cheating and beating is the only thing that ends a marriage/relationships?

I'm originally from the Dominican Republic and I never understood how down there people only break up or divorce when one of the party cheats or puts their hand on the other. its like they dont comprehend the concept of...

• toxic relationships
• mental/emotionally abuse
• distrust/paranoia

and many other things that keep a relationship/marriage going. I mean its like, again, if they are not cheating (or suspecting it) or putting their hands on each other then they will always be willing to take and put up with others shit. is like why are some willing to work this way? is their physicality the only thing that matters to them? do they not know that the mind neurology, feelings and emotions take damage as well?

That's just culture. I mean some people will call it quits nowadays just because their partner likes the wrong politician. Cheating and beating is the limit for some people depending on their held beliefs.

On the other hand, people in my country break up over minor shit and often just go from bad relationship to bad relationship their entire lives because they are perfectionists.

Being cheated on and physically beaten by someone that you gave your heart to , is something I would walk away from mainly the cheating , A girl hitting me is 50/50 but sadly some people have a hard time holding back their anger , so as long as she isn’t constantly hitting me and physically trying to kill me then I can manage a girl that hits lightly lol but if it doesn’t stop after I told her numerous times to never lay a finger on me again and she still does it , I’m sorry but I am laying that bitch out on the ground , but those aren’t the only things that would make me walk away from someone , I been smacked by girls cuz they were having an emotional breakdown , but usually I am smacking her later on bed so it kind of balances out lol. but those are things that are definitely high on the list for me to walk away from someone , Mental and emotional abuse is another reason I would walk away as well , or someone that only really thinks about themselves , they do not know how to wear your shoes like they expect you to wear theirs , They are clearly selfish and only care what is best for them , They don’t really consider my feelings and wants , only do what’s best for them , When a girl starts to withhold intimacy and affection from me like I have to earn it from her where I can never intimate it, only she can , I am more than likely going to walk away from that girl and be open to a girl that wants to be in my arms that wants intimacy and affection , I will only be a punching bag for too long before I throw in the towel on someone , That relationship will not last long with me , So there are a lot of reasons I would walk away from someone. But there are a lot of reasons I would stay with someone as well, No relationship is perfect and nobody is perfect , We all have flaws in us and more than likely past trauma experiences that can arise from time to time , so to walk away from someone that has some mental issues is a 50/50 chance , I would probably stay with them if they recognize what they have and trying to get help for it , but if they aren’t attempting to get help then I will more than likely walk away , For some reason I attract girl’s with mental health issues to the point I feel like I must have it as well from being with girl’s like this lol Girl’s with Depression , and anxiety , ADHD , PTSD , Bi polar the list goes on , I yell at God all the time and tell him to please send me a girl that doesn’t have mental issues PLEASE!!! Lol Sadly that’s been hard to find lol
