Why did my ex block me people that know me after posting his new girlfriend?

We broke up about 8 months ago and still followed each other on social media but never interacted. Yet, the day he posted his new girlfriend online he blocked me, my friends, their family and even friends of his that know me. I think he forgot my sisters boyfriend followed him though.

The way I found out was my sisters boyfriend told us that my ex posted a picture with his new girl. When I went to see out of curiosity I was blocked. This is his first post since our breakup, and I know since a couple days prior to that I wasn’t blocked since I was cleansing my Instagram and he was still in my friends list. Yet he still follows me and said friends on his pets Instagram & Snapchat?

I’ve had new my partner for 4 months now and I’m immensely happier. I also don’t hold love for my ex and would never want to get back together. But we shared 6 years together, and I feel a bit angry he did the blocking because he was someone that cheated on me and I naively took back, helped through his health struggles, years later cheated on me again and I found out via a curable std HE STILL DENIED and tried turning the tables on me, and it was a struggle to breakup with him because he was depressed and claimed if I left him he’d kill himself. Yet he ended our relationship via text.

I know I sound petty but I think some anger just resurfaced and I just find my self being too nice to the guy again. I should have blocked him and I feel dumb once again.
