How do I endure birthday parties with my ex?

We have a child together so I go to support our child. The problem is I sit there fuming and dreaming about stabbing my ex 50 times. She lives such an easy life and I live a shit life, due to her divorcing me and taking everything.

What stops me from acting is knowing my child would lose both mother and father.

For 8 years after my divorce I asked didn't even spend time with her on father and stepmother. But the good father I was I took my son to see them spent all the holidays with them we went camping with them that side of the family was my family my spend time with her own family. Then a relative passed away she went to the funeral made up with her dad that following 4th of July I was supposed to spend the weekend with them stay at their house so I found out that my ex was going to be there and we didn't talk much other than who's getting the child what weekends what days what vacations. I showed up but I didn't spend the night. The whole family that all these years that I was spending Thanksgiving Christmas New Year's Easter 4th of July summer camping trips for 8 years kept coming up to me and saying how weird it was having her there that she didn't belong there that I did. I know the position you're in I went through a lot of hatred too in the end we became better friends and lovers we both raised a son great son he's moved in with me when he was 13 she gave up custody. In the last two years she has gotten engaged again this will be number three she does not talk to me anymore and all I want to do is wish him luck.

Usually assets are divided equally and assets you brought into the relationship she can't touch so what is it she has gotten/is getting from you?

Woah take a deep breath. Get all of that violence out of your head. It does you no good. The focus is your child. Show up for them and their future and forget about the past with her. You need to move on and meet other people as well.
