Why does a man's ex wife always hate his new girlfriend?

I"m currently seeing a guy who has kids. every time his 2-4 yr old kids video chat with him on the phone, he would push me out of the way so that the kids can't see me. He says that if his ex wife sees that he has moved onto another woman... or if she sees him hanging out with another lady, she will go insane. He says that he is afraid that his ex wife will take the kids away from him as a way to punish him for seeing me.

I was just appalled... they both are divorced!!! why can't be have the right to move on? From my understanding , many women are like this... they hate their ex husband's new girlfriends.

They don’t want another woman playing mom to their kids. And even if they’re divorced, even if the woman was the one who left, it’s still sensitive and a big grief that things didn’t turn out as it was supposed to and they thought (happily ever after) and like a big failure and feeling bad and guilty that they could keep the family together. If he cheated, was the one who left or mistrested her then there’s even more resentment and hate that this other female is there playing house with their kids, maybe even seeing them just as much they do (every other week).

i don't think it has anything to do with the new woman playing mom. The kids live with her and she is a single mom. The dad only visits every weekend. I think it has to do with the fact that her ex husband found "someone better".

They don't want a new woman playing mom. Also, lots of women look for reasons to get spiteful AF in divorces; it's a control thing. Children are an easy way to exert that control.

No. His ex wife is 42 and doesn't look a day over 33. she's more attractive than me. A 9 out of 10.
