Why would a narc talk to you just to abuse you? I’ve blocked them now but I just want to know why?

My ex narc tried to talk to me recently and kept being nasty. Blaming me for everything, saying that I’m trying to do this and that and the next thing to him. He has not said one nice thing. I confronted him and he immediately got offended and told me to stop talking to him so I did. Yet he didn’t delete me off social media after this when he said he would? Why did he just come back to be nasty? He’s now blocked but just tryna get closure

Because narcissists like to get a ride out of you and every once in a while they will stop back around just to torment you and see if you are still willing to entertain what they have to say. Best thing you can do is block them and never look back

Abusers want victims, that's all. You mean nothing to him but a means to scratch an itch.
