Why would my ex choose a girl that gave him an STD over me?

He cheated on me with a woman with two kids, and gave himself and I an std and he still choose her over me, he said he can’t stand me because I don’t have his best interest in mind. I’ve cooked for him, taken care of him when he was sick, gave him rides to work. I haven’t been perfect but I never cheated. All I’ve been asking for is to be treated nicely, and he said he can’t do that because I am an A**hole, I’m only that way after he does some abusive stuff (he’s been physically and emotionally abusive). I know I shouldn’t want this person, I’m just baffled he choose her.

Few things could be goin on with him choosin her over you tho:

- He prob feels real guilty for givin you that STD and messin around, so pickin her makes it feel less like his fault somehow. Denial type thing.

- She might put up with more of his abusive habits without callin him out. Dudes like takin the easy route even if it's toxic.

- Could be she plays into his ego more by actin super clingy and dependent. Makes him feel big or some shit, even if she trash.

- Bottom line - dudes be make stupid decisions when they don't respect themselves or the good girls really down for them. His loss!

You did nothing wrong, aight? Don't even trip about him no more. Just keep doin you and he'll realize what he lost when it's too late. Stay up sis - you gonna find you a real one who treats you how you deserve, for sure!

2. sex with her is more gratifying
3. he wants to have access to her children

1. he has done you a favour
2. you need to have more self-respect
3. you don't have to worry about catching STIs off of him anymore
