Would you change your faith to be with a person you love?

I'm Muslim and he's an atheist. He's been very stubborn about understanding what religion is really about and I don't blame him given the stereotypes and propaganda he's surrounded by. Despite all of that we love each other, and if it wasn't for our belief differences we would be planning our marriage. We broke up for a couple of months because of that but he reached out apologizing, saying that he's willing to accept me the way I am, but I feel like such a hypocrite because we still can't be together unless he converts, and I believe in my faith so I can't just leave it. I know it sounds so unfair because I can't take him as he is, but I also think about the conflicts in the future, our kids and how we're gonna raise them. I dont want to ask him that, I just wanna know from a guy's pov, is there a hope for him to consider converting?
Ps: he told me he doesn't date to date, he dates to marry, and we've been together for 7 months now. Also, we're long distance.

Never. And no, you shouldn’t be with him unless you can accept that he is and will remain atheist and definitely won’t raise your potential kids muslim. Clearly you can’t accept that so move on and find someone you’re actually compatible with. You are wasting both his and your own time by staying with him and it’s extremely disrespectful of you to not just accept that he won’t convert, but nag or continue to hope that he will. He won’t. And even if he did bend to your will (he shouldn’t) he wouldn’t actuallt be a believer, it would all just be on paper so he could marry you. He wouldn’t believe in any of it or be into any of the rules or traditions and he still wouldn’t raise your kids the way you think they should be raised if you’re a believing muslim.
