My ex who dumped me broke no contact recently, after literal years of silence. I'd like some opinions on what his intentions could be for reaching out, since it's been so long now.

• Clear closure if things ended messy
• Practical matters (shared responsibilities, belongings, logistics)
• A sincere apology or accountability
• Real change not loneliness or nostalgia
• Confirming there’s truly nothing left to say, so both can move on

Breaking no contact shouldn’t come from boredom, guilt, or missing comfort.
If you ended it, respect the boundary unless your reason is mature and clear.
