My ex won't change his relationship status, should I confront him on it?

I know Facebook is trite and inane BUT I'm sure most of you have heard 'Its not official until it's Facebook official"

My boyfriend broke up with me almost a month ago, but the day after he broke up with me, he realized his decision was wrong. Then, a week later, he calls and says how much he cares blah blah and how he'd be willing to kill someone over me (he's actually serious) blah blah, but didn't offer to take me back. He just wants to talk in person when he gets home. (he works a few months a year in California and is waiting on a paycheck)

he's been on Facebook multiple times since the break-up and still has listed that he's "in a relationship". While I don't even care enough to show my relationship info, he's usually really up to date on that kind of thing.

I'm doing a great job of moving on and I'm very happy as a single woman, but that tiny detail keeps bugging me.

Why can't he just admit that he's single now? Is it some ego thing? He dumped ME!

Facebook is not that serious and a relationship status does not make who you are, he could be dating someone else and he's not telling you. So don't fret about his relationship status. It may not even be about you, I would go on about my life how it was before he spoke to me about missing me. Guys lie and when they lie they do it well.

That means that he doesn't care enough about you to change it in my opinion because I did the same thing after I broke up with a girl I didn't care about...i didn't care about her so I didn't care to change it

no it doesn't matter because a guy show that he is single instead of letting some social network know...a girl can tell if a guy is single by the way he acts ( looks flirting etc)
