Dude, you can write a book twice the size of the bible about your theories on why girls don't like nice guys ( in that way), bottom line though, yeah, nice guys don't get girls or even worse, find that one girl they not attracted to but settle with because theyrightfully believe that they can't choose their lover. nice guys don't have that sexual chemistry... whatever that is.
@Scrambledagain Yes, this is true. "Irreconcilable differences" should be changed to "Married the best I could get to commit and I've finally had enough of his ass."
I THINK THIS IS TRUE. I MYSELF BEING A NICE GUY IS FACING THE SITUATION WHERE WOMEN LISTED ME AS FRIENDS BUT THE GUYS WHO BEHAVE BAD THEY ARE GETTING WOMEN.
You can be nice to girls (tell them they are pretty, open doors for them and blah blah blah) thats totally fine... but dont be a yes man. If she does something you dont like OPEN your mouth and tell her "hey that shit is NOT alright" or something along the lines
My girlfriend keeps saying that she loves the fact that I'm nice but I can call her out when she's being bitchy about something... trust me bro women LOVE men who are nice but also have a strong character!
that's because that's all I see and i'm not accusing you of anything I'm just stating what I'm seeing in women what I have been dealing with okay there's a difference and it's not to discredit women that's not my aim i'm just pointing out the problems so that we don't have this from keep going on
I'M JUST FUCKING TIRED OF TRYING TO PROVE MY POINT OF WHO I AM WHEN ALL YOU WOMEN WANT TO SAY IS THAT US MEN IS BEING THE ACCUSER AND BEING BITTER AND ANGRY ALL THE TIME WE AIN'T "NICE GUYS" AND THAT WE'RE AGAINST EVERYTHING THAT YOU WOMEN DO IT'S ALWAYS SOMETHING WITH YOU WOMEN THAT YOU ALWAYS HAVE TO FIGHT WITH US MEN SO THAT YOU CAN FEEL BETTER ABOUT YOURSELVES ALL BECAUSE THINGS DIDN'T QUITE WORK OUT WITH YOU CAUSE OF YOUR CONTROL AND MANIPULATION US MEN DON'T KNOW WHAT TO GIVE YOU ALWAYS ON PINS AND NEEDLES WITH YOU WOMEN CAUSE WE DON'T KNOW WHAT THE FUCK TO SAY CAUSE WE'RE A JERK NO MATTER WHAT WE DO OR SAY
ALL THE HELL US MEN ARE ASKING YOU IS IF WE CAN DATE YOU THAT'S ALL THERE'S NOTHING COMPLICATED ABOUT THAT AND THERE SHOULDN'T HAVE TO BE ANYTHING COMPLICATED ABOUT IT BUT YOU WOMEN ARE THE ONE'S THAT ARE MAKING IT COMPLICATED
Did I say I'm winning? In fact, I implied that I'm losing. The culture is indeed becoming more consistently altruistic, and we can see the carnage unfold on every front, not least the romantic/sexual realm.
As far as I know, it's a video-game that implies that Objectivism widely practised would lead to social destruction. The makers of that game probably need actually to read and to understand Ayn Rand, who makes it very clear how important human relationships are. But, there you go. We are back, if only implicitly, to that common and deadly fallacy: either you sacrifice yourself to others, or you sacrifice others to yourself. Rape, or be raped. Murder, or be murdered. And then they wonder why the Elliot Rodgers of the world appear. The altruists degrade human relationships by claiming that they could never be of benefit to oneself.
I like her work and I think it was amazing to put her philosophy into a fiction where at least it can be looked at more clearly than a spiel of rhetoric that seems very antagonistic to modern society. The strength, however, in her Ideal Man is that he is unconcerned with the politics of the time. To seek change feels a little contradictory to living with integrity and let that shine as an example to others--or don't. I'm also cautious that she saw the American Ideal as a sort of savior force to the harshness of Communism without looking at the flaws. The room for some people to cheat and make it impossible for others to succeed even if they work hard is at the cornerstone of this. My final issue with her is the most obvious, rape. She seems to advocate in favor of it in several instances without defining exactly what she means which can leave a room for dangerous error and also she seems to think of the natural position of women is, in part, male-worship. Again, if she feels different
differently about it she should be more specific. To not seems lazier than what she's capable of. In any event, she touches upon that thing which made and continues to make America succeed which is a desire to work hard to build something for yourself rather than create government controlled communes for people to do as told and get taken care of. I don't know... these are just some thoughts I've had...
1. The aim is to live in accordance with one's self-interest. All acts are to be judged in accordance with that standard. It is not a given that one should be involved in politics. It is not a given that one should not.
2. Ayn Rand never claimed that the American system was perfect. What she did deeply revere was the foundational principle of the American republic: the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, the most selfish statement in all of political history. She fully recognized that there were deep flaws from the very beginning, most notably the enslavement of black Americans. And she was very critical of religion in America, especially the prominence it was gaining in politics towards the end of her life.
She was not in favour of rape, though certainly in favour of male sexual dominance. She did think that the proper role of women is male-worship, but only in matters of sex and romance and only towards men who deserve it.
Great points. I think point three, however sound, unnecessarily makes it difficult for some to listen to her fiscal point of view despite the two being separate, but then I guess for her everything is interconnected. I guess if she enjoys engaging in politics and educated the masses then she's still living on her own self interest with the benefit of others being a byproduct.
"To hold un an unchanging you is the reach, at the end, the vision with which one started." One of my favorite quotes of hers.
People who dislike Ayn Rand will find any excuse to malign her. The false claim that she supported rape is actually one of the more-rarely-raised slanders that I have seen. Her views on selfishness and on government's role in the economy attract by far the most negative attention.
What Girls & Guys Said

You can say what you want, do whatever but women are evolutionary not attracted to nice guys. It's simple.
They certainly are not attracted to nice guys. But, it isn't because of a lack of free will, which perhaps could be my next myTake topic.
I despise being a nice guy and changing this is fucking difficult.
I don't whine about nice guys -- I ask them out. They're keepers, those ones. Once more women realize this, the better.
Your young lol
when do women whine about nice guys? It's always guys.
They do on GAG all the time. And feminists websites do also.
I've never seen any on GAG, and i've never been on a feminist website.
The only time a woman wants a nice guy is when she is gonna settle for marriage
and then still divorces. The majority of divorces in America is still initiated by women.
This I can agree my friend I been nice to some of my female friends the others are more likely them who treat them like lower class sadly..
@Chan_Aku_Deadman so i thinl we should stop being mice.
Excellent take. What I've been wanting to say for a long time.
You should do a take on self assertion. No one's talked about that yet.
Maybe I will. Thanks for the suggestion.
I'm a nice guy and I never have a problem with getting a girl I like... it's not about being nice is about not being a pushover
The problem is, conventional morality says that you should be a pushover.
It really isn't... for example
But, that's being selfish, not nice.
I love these posts that stir the pot. Well done and well written.
what the hell i'm trying to explain to you @XRabbitHeartX
that's because that's all I see and i'm not accusing you of anything I'm just stating what I'm seeing in women what I have been dealing with okay there's a difference and it's not to discredit women that's not my aim i'm just pointing out the problems so that we don't have this from keep going on
but all the fuck you want to do is act childish and block me from talking to you you know that's real fucking cute
I think you need to grow up and start acting your damn age @XRabbitHeartX
WOMEN MAKES MY HEAD HURT
women always tells me I'm angry and bitter when I know myself when I'm angry and bitter
all these women want to do is argue that fact to make us men look like the BAD GUYS
AND TO BE HONEST WITH YOU WOMEN I DON'T KNOW WHO'S PROBLEM IT IS MY PROBLEM OR YOU'RE WOMEN'S PROBLEM
BUT IT NEEDS TO FUCKING END CAUSE I CAN'T TAKE ANYMORE OF IT
ALL THE HELL US MEN ARE ASKING YOU IS IF WE CAN DATE YOU THAT'S ALL THERE'S NOTHING COMPLICATED ABOUT THAT AND THERE SHOULDN'T HAVE TO BE ANYTHING COMPLICATED ABOUT IT BUT YOU WOMEN ARE THE ONE'S THAT ARE MAKING IT COMPLICATED
your "rational world" is abominable and destined to fail. this take is wrong on so many levels.
There is no destiny.
But, probably the world will not go my way, much to the detriment of everyone in it.
there is a destiny that you create by choosing to turn the world to what you perceive as healthy. and its not going anywhere.
That is not destiny, then.

what is done all Feminism put 'Nice Guy' due to all unintelligent mens.
someone's been brushing up on his Ayn Rand
I am an Objectivist, yes. I am far past the brushing-up stage.
what are your thoughts on Bioshock? lol
