I have tried online dating several times. I have experimented with everything about it. I completely changed what I texted, posted as description, and even my looks. I looked into profiles that had success.

It never worked out for me. The girls I dated with were noticeable worse that anyone I dated in real life. And it required way too much time to convince them to date.

So I quit it a couple of years ago.

Good take. by the way, I'm sorry I forgot to vote in your poll earlier, but I did now. The reason I prefer online dating is because you can find out a little bit about who a person is before deciding if you want to talk to them or not.

It seems you invested lot of time into online dating. My personal adventure with online dating few years back gave me the feel of an animal on slaughter market that even still alive its value depends on its ham, loin and neck meat quality.

It's sort of like having to weed out what you are not looking for the one you are. That one may only be a fraction of a fraction of a percent of the total ones that have to be screened out.

After three weeks online I gave up dating altogether, that over a decade ago. I was thirty. I really have to hand it to the men who are masochistic enough to enjoy dating.

I've given up on on-line dating because most women don't reply. When they do reply and we meet, they are not who they are in the pictures. I'm tall (6' 6") and in great shape (215 lbs) as I workout six days week, and eat healthy. Given my looks, and my outgoing attitude, I feel I should have a 90% hit rate. I'm looking for athletic to slim women from 50 to 59.

I've never used on-line dating and most likely never will, with me travelling for work around the globe I've had the good luck to meet and date some good looking women of various nationalities but they were never serious relationships.

Well really online dating worked for a female friend of mine she is now happily married with two kids, that's why I'm hell bent but not that desperate in finding mine here too I wish to have a good experience working the online dating here

Yes, I know how online dating works. It sucks to me. People like me are cautious to avoid getting catfished, trolled, spammed, and scammed online. One thing is that I don’t date. Dating is not my thing. I would rather befriend a person after knowing their personal background and become emotionally intimate with them slowly afterwards without dating, especially online dating for that matter.

That’s very good advice and obviously online dating is getting more popular, I was never the type to meet someone in a bar anyway
