Why do shy girls ignore the boys they like and are talkative to the ones they dont?

I've noticed this with a girl I like. She will star at me until I catch her and she will look away real quick. And she will be real quiet and when we have a conversation she will look down and get quiet. Then when my freinds are around she will be real talkative to them but ill still cstch her looking at me? Why do shy girls do this?

I do this. I'm a really shy person. I do it because I have this thing if a person stares at me, I will turn red. Also, if it's the guy I like, well forget my tan skin, because I can feel my face blushing and I become a tomato full of redness. I'm in my damn 20s and it still happens. It sucks. Even with my boyfriend, I still get nervous, it's because I really like him.
Not gonna lie, I know I usually avoid guys I like because I don't want to blush like crazy or turn into a stuttering idiot, so he would have to take his time approaching me. Be as non threatening as possible, but if I turn red, to please not make a big deal about it. One guy did that, he giggled cuz he said it was cute, but it made me blush more and I felt embarrassed. So perhaps you can mention it's cute, to make her feel better. Or perhaps just try to not point it out.

For me it's because I am more comfortable around the guys I'm not attracted to - the lack of buzzing hormones makes conversation flow a lot more smoothly. When I'm around the guy I like I get super nervous and can't think of anything charming, witty or fun to say or do - the kind of thing that always makes the guys I don't like like me (because I'm comfortable enough around them to say and do all those fun things). It's actually the worst. Try and talk to her; make her comfortable.

Shy girls feel nervous around the guys they like. They don't want to be rejected in any way, they simply just wait for you to approach them because it's easier. They feel comfortable guys they don't like because they don't care if they're judged by them

It's because she probably doesn't feel as much pressure when she talks to the guys he doesn't like. Trust me she doesn't mean to do if. She's just afraid that if she he says something stupid you won't like her, so she chooses to just say nothing. It's probably fine I'm shy and I do that all the time without even thinking

It's because its like she's seeing something so dazzling it burns her eyes. or she feels so restless when she talks to you cause she's so shy. she's conscious of herself too much.

they get uncomfortable with you, because they're so nervous. they're nervous, because they like you.
it's simple... nobody feels quite themselves when there's butterflies flitting around inside. :)
