Yeah thats fricken rude as hell. I saw a girl call a random dude a creep and i was a little pissed. I would never call a guy that weather he was being creepy towards me or not. It isn't nice and it is shallow if a girl is automatically unatracted to a guy if he is physically unapealing to them. I dont have an explanation for any girl who would do that

Regardless of what the guy looks like if he's acting creepy he's a creep. It's not about looks it's about behavior. And if he smiles and stares and catcalls or approaches a girl who is alone on a street at night or something, then he is a creep. And those stares and weird smiles tend to be ugly on anyone so it's not about a guy just being ugly.

best definition of a creep I've seen. and before you call me shallow, ugly is relative and attraction is a big deal. I have actually really liked someone I initially found quite unattractive but that's a rare thing in my case.

there's a difference between "creepy" (stalker, walks too close at night, etc. - aka scary) and "creep" (I'm really not attracted to you, but you're still showing interest in me, especially in a way I find inappropriate).

By the way, I hear ugly women being called names when being rejected, which most people despise. For some reason, if an ugly man is called a creep for the crime of making an advance that is unwelcome (and I'm not talking about repeated or inappropriate advances and that's an important distinction) he is called a creep, yet for some reason this practice isn't frowned upon as much. Why is that?

By the way, I'd wager my life that at some point in your past, you made some kind of advance on a man which was unwelcome. You can try and tell me otherwise, but I think if we interviewed every man you interacted with, I'd wager my life some would say your advances were inappropriate. Virtually ALL of the human race has, at one time or another, made advances that aren't welcome. Are you a creep? Are all people who make so much as even one unwelcome advance a creep?

I don't think you're shallow for not finding men attractive. I do think that using a term so loaded with negative connotation simply for making an unwelcome (and please note I'm NOT saying repeated unwelcome or inappropriate and unwelcome) advances.

You might be surprised. I've a friend with FAS. He's been called a creep by women he didn't even make any advances towards. I've heard my female acquaintances say he looks like a creep (the "looks" is an important distinction... not acts like a creep, not behaves like a creep, but LOOKS like a creep). He gets mocked by men, too.

I'm super hawt (just look at me! I'm 2' tall and I'm chewing my hand! How hawt is that?) and I don't get called a creep. Seriously though, I don't get called a creep (so far as I know), and I'm not hawt (I am merely hot ;-D ).

I don't know if it's shallow so much as it's human nature. There are biological reasons why girls get creeped out by unattractive men. By the way, I've never heard a guy call an ugly woman a creep. Other things? Yes, but not a creep. I think this points to something about carrying a genetic bomb if a woman is impregnated by a genetically undesirable man. Sperm is cheap, but pregnancy is NOT.

Often times ugly guys and girls are just people, who take very poor care of themselves and I'm not even talking about weight.

Granted, women don't often get called creepy, unless stalking is involved. Ugly/minger/etc are the common ones. But you can't deny the fact that that girl in the pic looks a hell of a lot like Freaky Fred from Courage the Cowardly Dog and she is creepy looking as fuck.

No, most humans are. Many are not.

What does being ugly tell you about that person? To me it tells me one of two things. He/She is ugly and unable to do anything about it (which is usually not the case) or that he/she is ugly and doesn't care much or is unaware of his/her appearance. Not much else. I've known plenty of unattractive people who are great people. In fact, the majority of unattractive people I've met who I've taken the time to know are in most other respects great people. They just don't know how they look to others (which was often true when they were your age) or they don't care or they feel they can do nothing about it.

As for that girl in the picture, I think she looks unattractive. Beyond that, I know almost nothing about her. Incidentally, is that girl someone you know? If she were your friend or acquaintance, would you help her try to be more attractive if she asked? What would you advise?

I'll respond to you hear so as to not clog MaskedSanity's opinion. The word is indeed laden with negative connotation, even if you don't mean it that way. My advice to a guy who is a creep to a girl simply because he made an unwelcome advance is to not give a shit about her and hope that at some point she will realize she is using a word that, even though she might not intend for it to be that way, adds to cruelty and misunderstanding in the world.
