So I'm an average, maybe slightly below average guy and I'm very interested in the type of girl that's tall, blonde, blue eyes, you probably know the type.

Every time I see a girl like that my gut tells me she's a billion light years out of reach and probably already has a boyfriend, etc. etc.

It is possible but the odds of success are against you. When you say that you are average or slightly below average, I'm assuming that you are referring to your physical appearance. You can make up for what you lack by having a combination of some or all of the following traits: great sense of humor, well dressed, intelligent, physically and emotionally strong, charismatic, confident, wealthy, accomplished (college degree or in college), good at pleasing a woman in bed. You can't change your height or your facial features but you can go to the gym, get educated, improve your wardrobe, and find ways to boost your self confidence.

What it really comes down to is this: If you are happy with yourself the way you are, then find someone who appreciates you exactly as you are. If you are not happy with yourself or your life, then do something to change it and you will be more likely to attract the kind of person you are into.
