I personally believe that it is absolutely true. Most people claim that "love possess some magical undefinable quality," but this is just an attempt to cling onto the idea that love is something special. However, the truth is that there is nothing special in this world and love is no different. It is flat out a function of familiarity over time and absolutely nothing else. This makes loves practically meaningless because you could take two 2 people that hate each other, place them on a deserted island, and they will eventually fall in love due to increasing familiarity over time. Maybe others will not appreciate this, but I really like the love can be defined logically. I Also like this because I think "feelings" are generally stupid things, and taking aim at them in this way to turn them into just another logical construct that strips all unique qualities away from them is nice knowing that they are not any more special than anything else.
I don't know man, human emotions are hard to explain. I see where you're coming from but I think there's a lot more to it. Attraction to someone being a big part and not just romantically. I love my family because they're who I grew up with, that's the familiarity part, but it's also because they're nice and they're there for me. If one of them tried to kill me, obviously I wouldn't love them.
