Are STRONG and independent women desired by men or are they not?

Is it just me or do men not want to date STRONG and independent women? Do guys want women below them in any way (dumber, dependent, lower salary, weak...)?

Because I personally and honestly see absolutely 0 appeal in weak and depending women. That's like raising a child or keeping a woman as a maiden pet of some kind.
I only date STRONG and independent women.
Because what could be better when going eating out and you pay for yourself and she pays for herself? And dismissing gender roles. And just doing what you like without giving a F whether it's "typically male/female" or embarrassing or weird. And just having your life together just fine being single. And if something breaks then you or your partner can fix it either alone or together.

The main reason I don't want to date a strong independent woman is because any woman who describes herself like that tends to be a feminist, and I'm not interested.

I'm also not interested in a woman who is more focused on things outside of the relationship than the relationship itself. Some might say "not all are like this" - of course I'm generalising here.

Very often, those kinds of women pride themselves on independence so much that the other things such as their career matter more to them than their relationship. These are the kinds of women who are more likely to, say if they get a promotion that requires them to move elsewhere, take it and leave the relationship.

To me, my career is secondary. My relationship comes first - especially now that I have kids. I think that to an extent love requires some level of dependence actually. You're supposed to be able to depend on your partner sometimes. If you see that as them "taking" from you, your relationship is fucked.

I mentioned kids - the other reason I don't want a strong independent woman is because like I said, if her career comes first and that's of huge importance to her identity, she's gonna put that first. I'd rather her put our relationship and our children first.

Some do, some don't. The real question is if you were a strong and independent woman, would you rather be with someone BECAUSE of it, or IN SPITE of it?

Assuming you are a strong/confident woman, would you rather be with someone who admires that, or who thinks less of you for it, but is with you for other reasons that override his distaste?

As human beings we are all dependent on others to an extent so no one really is completely independent, but when I think of a strong woman, I think of a woman who can be aware of any injustice that happens with her, and she can speak up against it. When I think of an independent woman I think of a financially independent woman who is capable to live by her own without anyone else's support, and in case she is a single mother she can afford raising those children too.

Some guys may think that an independent woman doesn't need a man at all so he has no purpose in life. But if an independent woman loves you, isn't it great that she is not dating you for your money but rather because she really loves you for who you are?

What I wanted to point out was, I see no reason why they are undesirable. Many guys feel emaciated or intimidated by them.

Like it seriously happens that a husband told his wife to not get promotion if she loves him, like WTH.

I call these guys insecure. Or they're feeling emasculated. They are the equivalent of girls getting upset or jealous, that their boyfriend has a password locked phone. Or their boyfriend sent likes on random social media girls, who he has no business with. or communicate with anyone, who is of the female gender "Who is Nina? Is she younger than me? Is she blond? What makeup did she had? Did she wear anything revealing? What did she want from you? Why did you talk so long with her? Do you think she is prettier than i am?"

Men like to go out with their friends or have alone time if the girl is dependent she's just going to cling to him and annoy him.

Truly strong and independent women just call themselves women. They don't compete either because they know they are successful and awesome as they are.
The rest need reminding of their strengths which leads to endless adverts and programmes hemorrhaging the idea that they are or could be.

I like it when they pay their own credit card, doesn't expect me to drive them around, or carry their stuff, or provide money for them.

I mean I would do it for them from time to time - but if they rely/expect me to do those just because I am a man, it's a huge turn off.

Well personally, the men I date are the same sort of personality as me. We both deal with our own shit, and help each other when needed with no shame. I’m neither completely independent nor completely dependent. That’s the point of a relationship. To help each other.

It's not that, the issue is that women who act entitled and try to say they don't need any men in their life try to pass themselves as strong, when they're the exact opposite. Obviously actual strong women are very desirable to men.

No. I mean some are lol. But submissive guys probably match dominant women more. But I think majority of men seek a woman who will respect him, not be bossy all the time and trying to fix him and teach him stuff like he is a kid. I've seen a lot of women who just have to prove they are smarter, stronger, better at everything and even if they are, that kind of behaviour is usually just annoying.
