I am guilty of this but let me explain. About a month ago one of my “acquaintances” asked me to hang out when he came home from the Air Force. Cool right? Sure whatever. I agreed to hang out and do some stuff around town thinking he meant as friends. Until he said “so for our first date” and I flipped shit. So I try to drop hints that I’m talking to someone already like posting on my story, talking about them, etc. but nothing works. This guy is literally an idiot. So he comes home and tracks my location through Snapchat and has me meet his parents and gives me flowers while I’m covered in ice cream and god knows what from work. Eventually I sent him a picture of the guy I had been talking to and told him I didn’t like him like that and I was already involved with someone else. He STILL to this day hasn’t taken the hint. I quit messaging him back and right now I have 51 unread messages from him on Facebook messenger and 34 on Snapchat.

Because they purely like the reactions that you're giving them. They can't find anyone else to do that and I know for a fact that girls loves someone to be on their back and to be talking to them because it makes them feel GREAT. It isn't nice to lead on but just don't show interest and leave. I'm not saying all girls love attention, but it makes us feel good so some do it. Talk to them straight up and say I'm done with yo fooling around and go, don't get hurt over someone who just wants your love for nothing.
Honestly i don't know, that's a waste of time. I've never done it, i just don't see the point. I know some people do cause they either lonely and waiting for someone else to come along or to boost their ego.. but i just don't have the time.
if this is happening to you then you need to ask her to honest with you about her feelings/intentions with you. Ask her to be truthful and if she actually interested in you or not cause you don't want your time being wasted any longer.
jumping in bed with random people isn't going to heal your heart any faster. In fact that's just you rebounding dragging other people into your pain and that is not fair. You need give yourself time to heal and move on. Be single for a while, find yourself again, and then when the time is right start dating again.. But honestly think of this as blessing, you know this girl is not meant for you and that someone better is down the road.
I’ve never done it but in defence of women I will say that men do have a habit of “playing the field” which we don’t as we will dedicate our love to one man.

I could say the exact same about guys! Many girls could. The joys of dating. One person usually always likes the other more and that’s when this type of trouble occurs.
When I met this girl she was all over me and had he arms draped around me neck and hugging me. Later on she leaves with a guy.
Months later I see her again. And I thought she was single now. But now this dude is here again. And she hugs me before she leaves with him saying "I will see you again." But I kind of don't want to anymore because I die inside when I see her from a broken heart.
