Why do we gravitate and get along better with people who share our interests? I'm not at all saying I have a problem with people who don't drink or smoke, I'm simply pointing out that a relationship with someone who has no interest in those things would probably feel a bit awkward. Especially for them. It's not impossible but I can't see myself jumping into that relationship because of how I socialize within my friend group. And in response to your suggestion of hard drugs, no I do not do or abuse hard drugs, alcohol or legal drugs.
