@thisisausername9999 if you make drugs legal, people of all ages will have the opportunity to get them. Most people, younger adults in particular, are prone to strong addiction/drug dependency. You give drugs that are made legal to kids, they will become dependent, and they will have a higher risk of dying if they do not seek help immediately.

not if they are controlled substances. besides, kids still get drugs whether they are legal or not legal. the only difference is they are getting laced drugs, like when a kid decides he wants herion which happens a lot he is probably getting it from china instead of a trusted source. cigs and alcohol are semi legal for this reason. legal for adults, and not for minors. we know minors do not listen, but the least we can do is have an official source have these drugs so some guy in a lab doesn't give them these drugs. in 2018, 31,000 died from fetanyl, something that could have been avoided if herion was offered through a company along with treatment.
