Can you manifest a specific person or text?

There's a lot of youtube videos on how to attract a person you like and want, and I can't find any arguments against it. Its always "you're RESPONSIBLE FOR WHETHER OR NOT SOMEONE IS INTO YOU!"and the idea that if you can't get the person you like, you're doing something wrong or you aren't manifesting them correctly. I never dated a person I liked before, let alone attracted to full on, I was hoping that Law of attraction could help me date someone Im really attracted to but after trying to change my mind set and follow the steps I realized that maybe im just being desperate and I might actually just not be attractive enough to date. Who knows? Maybe Im wrong and this stuff really works or maybe its just a weird tactic to make people want to watch their videos.. *sighs *
