Is it safe to assume that if a guy has a blank profile on Tinder then he is just looking to hook up?

I was reading somewhere recently of things to be wary of when on Tinder. One of the big things was that if his profile is blank save for pictures then he's not looking for anything serious. It had some interesting points but how true are they?

its a mixed bag. they throw a lot of half truths in to make things more interesting than they really are. an example is the one about "too much to write, just ask" while there is a better chance of what they ascribe that to in the article they make it out like its a be all thing (they do a lot of generalizing in that article). i have put the "ask ne" on profiles before because i only get so much room and the knowkedge behind it is a bit more need to know/ not for the world to see. there is also the "keep things a little mysterious" factor to it. and even though it may seem lazy on the surface, would rather not type it out once (usually to be nit picked over anyways) but instead be asked about it and type it out to 1 or more pitential partners who seem to maybe actually be interested. also helps to keep something to use for conversation instead of tge general "hi" "how are you?" stuff.

so honestly i would view most of their red flags as yellow flags with a slight orange tint. the main ones i would agree with are pic being all groups or mirrored selfies (especially with filters) and party animals.

I'll say this... You do what you are comfortable with and what you are looking for. Personally, I'd avoid blank ones myself. And look for guys that use their picture, simply because it's less shady that way.. Is also want to meet them in person in a public place first even if it was just for friends with benefits

It most likely means he's married. Or in a serious relationship. People who hide their faces on dating sites are usually taken and don't want their significant other to find out that they're using a dating site.

In the real world is the best place to start. Yes, I totally understand the current COVID-based struggles that make it harder than usual, but even here in lockdown-central California, there are plenty of people out in the world.

Take your dog for a walk (or take your friend's dog for a walk if you don't have one of your own). Go to a restaurant even if you have to do patio seating outside. The grocery store. The car mechanic. The gas station. The park by your house. Go through your list of friends, and start meeting THEIR friends - their circles of friends that you don't already hang out with. And when you meet people you like, meet THEIR circles of friends.

And if you absolutely MUST go online, use something like eHarmony where men have to pay to use the service - mostly because if they have to spend money, they're likely to take the whole thing more seriously, whereas Tinder is a complete joke for anything but hookups.

And ONLY DATE LOCAL. If the guy can't get to your house in 15 minutes or less, he lives too far away.
