Like I look at all the complaints and it’s like... well yeah... some people are going to embellish or use old pictures... that’s why you go on a date. If that’s the case then you just move on. Meeting online is just to get the ball rolling. Gives you the chance to meet people you might not otherwise meet.
I’ve had nothing but good experiences. Dated a lot of girls I met on line. None had pics that didn’t look like them. None were untrue in what they said about themselves. None were creepy losers. I just don’t understand the complaints. On the subject of guys wanting hook ups, yes, there are sights designed for that, there are also ones designed for people who are looking for a relationship. I met my wife on EHarmony which, yes, is more expensive but you get serious people. You tend to get what you pay for. I’ve used a number of different sites over the years, I don’t have any major complaints about any of them. I can say with Eharmony though they don’t even send you matches from people who won’t fit your personality. At first I didn’t like that idea but it works great. Been with my wife for 2 years and we are well suited for each other.
People never look like they do in photos. Many people only upload photos of them at certain angles so that you are deceived into thinking they are much slimmer than they really are.

Too much of a hookup scene
Too many fakes, sex pests and time wasters.
I do like the concept. But my strongest criticism is that I think the girls are too picky.
It’s a waste of time and money
Perhaps it was a waste of time and money for you but others have had good success.
Success in what way?
I have had at least five long term relationships (6 months or longer) in the past 13 years as a result of online dating.
The people available online are desperate losers
Its statistics, not face to face experience.
Pointless waste of time. Fake people.
There are way more men than women.
I don’t respect people who do online dating
Women are to entitled.
The algorithms.
I voted D.
