He isn't following me on IG, should I be worried?

I met someone on a dating site and we seemed to hit it off almost right away. I'm very introverted but talking to him felt like talking to an old friend (this never happens).

Anyway, I do art and he asked to see some of my work so I gave him my IG. He liked 1 post but didn't follow, which is completely fine, but... I wonder... If someone gave you their social, even if they never explicitly ask that you follow them, would you follow them if you were interested?

It’s weird to me tho because I never got any issues about follow new people (new friends or new guys) on ig. I feel like he doesn’t want anyone to know about you or something like that. I've been there done that I would suggest you not to pay attention to him anymore

It's weird because it's not even my personal. It's my art account. He even said he likes my art and felt inspired by it - he sounded genuine about it too. There are no pics of me on it either, so it would a weird thing to want to hide.

The most unappealing trait in my opinion is deceit, though. If this is a sign of him being sneaky I want nothing to do with him.

He is being sneaky yeah it’s even worse when it’s just your art account but for him or his girl (maybe) it could be looking suspicious. I wouldn’t follow just anyone second account without being close to them so his girl might thinks that too so I think you should leave him

I think this is being blown out of proportion. He likes a pic of yours. Why does he need to also press follow?
Your IG account is just that. It isn’t you. He’s talking to you.

I think you're right. I did only show him because he asked to see my work - 'please, please, please!' - he begged eagerly. Plus, he did once mention that he's rarely on social media.

I don't care if he follows me or not, but because I'm bad at picking up on obvious hints in relationships wondered if this had any importance.

I mean it's possible he's losing interest, but on the other hand he might feel like he's being creepy and doesn't want to be overbearing since you're introverted and probably don't respond very enthusiastically about his advanced making him wonder if he's weirding you out.

Guys like that are a waste of time. Forget him. He might have a girlfriend, who checks what he likes and who he follows.

He follows a couple of baddies, I've found after doing some "research" on his page. If he had a girlfriend, my art account would probably be the least intimidating.

Maybe he just isn't interested in me like that 🤷‍♀️
