So, there’s this guy I liked, and at first, things were going well. We texted, hung out in person, joked around, even had a moment where he made moves. But then, out of nowhere, he started getting distant. He’d go quiet for days, then randomly text, then go quiet again, he apologized for it but was still quiet after anyway.
I ignored him at an event because I didn’t know how to handle the mixed signals, and that same night he unfollowed me which honestly hurt. But then he kept watching my stories like nothing changed.
A few days later, I reached out calmly — I said that if anything changed or he doesn’t want to talk he can just tell me. He replied vaguely, saying nothing went wrong, and that we’d remain friends, but his actions don’t match with his words.
We had another event and he came, at the end of it, he walks past me without saying a word. I froze and did not say or do anything.
Recently, he replied to a message in our group chat — it was the first time in months. Now I’m wondering what that means.
It’s been a few months of silence and he is just lurking. What does this all mean? Is this just ego? Do guys do this when they’re hurt? Or is he just trying to make sure he looks unbothered? Does he want me to talk to him? Should I reach out again or just move on? Why unfollow me then linger?
