How busy a coder/software engineer can be in daily life?

I have been dating a coder more than a month, and I'm so curious how busy he is. We texted almost everyday BUT it's only " Hi, good morning " and he will left me hanging till next day Hi again. But whenever we plan to meet, he will always be the one who do planning and treat me like a lady. Only that I feel inconsistency about his daily efforts. We have been discussing about this, and there's few things he said:
1. He realised that this week he less pay attention to our relationship, due to extra tasks that he needs to do and study.
2. He told me not too think too much because nothing actually happen as i thought, and that he's not like that.
3. He said, i already have him. He's not even consider to see someone else.
But his INCONSISTENCY left me in doubts. What should I do?
