That is not healthy, your boyfriend might not mind now but eventually that will become a problem. Guys want to feel wanted just as much as girls do. Getting over it is easy, you just have to do it. Pick a day once a week and reach out to him. As you get more comfortable start to do it more often. As for what to say or do you can google "conversation starters" or "relationship texts" or anything along that line for ideas. Sometimes just a simple "hey was thinking about you, I love you" is all you need to send. But you do need to put in effort. Relationship takes work just like anything else.
