How should I go about this?

I met this guy on snap, he seems normal and lives in my hometown. He has made it clear he wants to hang out- at least I thought it seemed that way. He said "hmu if you ever want to hang" so a week later (today) I did. He said that he wouldn't be off work until late but that he would make time for me before I leave to go on a trip. I suggested Thursday and he said he'd check his schedule, I said okay and he left me on open.

so I guess my question is, do I message him on Thursday or should I just wait till I'm back from my trip before initiating plans? Im not used to being the one making plans I usually just get invited to things so I'm not good at this lol

He may not trust you yet because you are new to each other and maybe he wanted to talk for a while before meeting in person. I’ve had guys call me from blocked numbers when they first met me cause they did not know if I could be trusted. I think you should delay meeting to get him more interested.
