Is it common for someone to cancel the first date due to illness?

My date has been sick a few days ago, he was improving and the night before our date, he threw up. Do you think he's really sick or trying to get out of the date and or very nervous?

It doesn't really matter. You can only judge a person by their actions over a consistent amount of time. If he doesn't reschedule the date or cancels again then it's probably a good sign he doesn't have the communication skills in life to reject you properly. Give them some time to see what they do next. They will always show their hand.

Well it is nearly impossible to tell if it is lie from the information that you currently have. Set a date for future time
