Help! My middle aged boyfriend is addicted to an e girl?

I’ve tried to treat it as a celebrity crush that will pass but now he mods for her and doesn’t want me to watch the stream. He says I’ll get “jealous” but I feel I’ve been pretty cool about trying to understand it and it hurt when he told me “it is what it is”. He said this when he said it was something he wanted to do alone when I said I was going to support the stream. He’s shown me pics of her and tells me she’s beautiful she dances on stream for money (subs) and she barely wears any clothes. She claims she’s 20 and she looks it. My boyfriend is in his 40’s. It’s starting to upset me and I don’t know what to do. I don’t want to be doormat yet I know it’s a fantasy.

Your boyfriend sounds pathetic honestly, a 40 year old man simping for a 20 yr old online which he will never get anywhere with. Sorry that you are going through this. He sounds very immature and reading your other replies it seems you’ve tried to get through to him. I think you need to drop him and move on.

Yeah your boyfriend is under the delusion that he has a close connection with her. Reality will probably set in quickly but if he's that gullible you might want to think about moving on.

Thanks! Yes I’m trying to be patient and hope it passes by. I just see it’s changed him and now that he mods for her he is always online just waiting to be available for her stream. He tells me he knows she’s superficial but his actions show me otherwise. I am trying to hang in there cuz I love him but I do think it’s out of control. I appreciate your advice

Yeah, I’ve tried to be more attentive and available to see if something was lacking but I feel he doesn’t really care about the efforts I make. His whole demeanor lights up when he sees her online. It’s all he talks about but yet I can’t look at it. Only what he wants to share. I feel like he rubs it in too and I don’t like that. I believe in being transparent and being equal. I thought he was more mature but I think we hit a crossroads and I do need to move on to be happy. Thanks for your input I appreciate it.
