Tinder is THE hookup app
Hinge a close second depending on the area
a lot of girls put "NO HOOKUPS" in their profile and don't mean it. Why do I say that? Because several I matched with hooked up. They just use that to deter some guys that come in a little too over the top.
Like I don't know any guy who sees a girl with that in her profile and actually believes it. We kinda know the deal. Are there some girls on there not consciously trying to hookup?
For sure. a lot of girls have it just to get validation from guys pursuing them and complimenting them. I know girls who don't even go on Tinder dates. They get the male validation and move on because they got the good feelings they wanted.
a lot of other female categories on that site. But of the girls who actually go on dates, and are just real people. Vast majority hookup even if that's not the main thing they ultimately want. That's what they end up doing.
Plenty of girls looking for something real who are fucking Tinder guys in the meantime.40 Reply

+1 yTinder is designed to make money from men.
If a man who wants a relationship funds someone, they lose money. If he's a player who wants a hookup it's fine by tinder as he will be back.
If he's a man looking for a relationship, it's not good for tinder if he finds it as they lose income. In fact tinder plays mind games on guys (litteraly, like a casino) they want them desperate and willing to pay for "premium" service.
For example, if a guy leaves, he will get an email from tinder saying that these women are interested, when he pays up, they disappear.
It's cruel and often turns men off dating entirely, and may even make men depressed. But anything for money I guess.10 Reply
+1 yHonestly don’t waste your time on it. I found my ex on tinder and here I am regretting even downloading the app in the first place. He was not ready for a relationship at all and he ended up ruining my life in the process. The thing about most people on dating apps who look for something serious is that they never stop looking - they always think there is better that they can find. While he was with me, little did I know that he was still looking for someone because he felt that being serious with someone he met on tinder was like he was settling and thought he could find better. So yeah, if you just wanna meet people, chat and potentially never see them again, Tinder is for you. But, if you want something long term and serious, don’t go looking for it, the right one will show up when you least expect it 😋
FYI, the grass was not greener and my ex is hitting me up asking me for another chance.42 Reply- +1 y
Thanks for sharing! Do you know of any better ways to meet guys? I dont really have friends to meet guys through and I have no idea of how to meet a guy naturally😬

No worries. For me I met most of them in social settings. My university accommodation, college, university, school etc. The workplace might also be another option!

+1 y-----------If you aren't looking for a hook up then use Bumble. Although many have found love through Tinder it still has a stereotype of "The Hook Up" app. Hinge is also a good alternative.
~Coach T Anthony @thedatecoach IG41 Reply 988 opinions shared on Dating topic. Most here have said it like it is and I'm happy they did because it backs up my point as well.
Yes, if you want a real committed relationship tinder is NOT the place to be.
99.9% of guys there want hookups and about 70% of girls do as well which means if a guy looks good enough and has game in his texting you can bet he'll get laid as often as he feels like it.
But just so you know, depending on where you are in the world and how big you city is, at maximum 20% of the guys on tinder do get laid but that's another issue.
If you want something serious most dating apps will not give you that but if you have no other options you can try hinge and bumble these two are second and third to tinder in quality and popularity and as all the people who want hookups mass to tinder you could find the select few who might want more30 Reply
Anonymous(45 Plus)+1 yThere's everyone on any app/site, looking for anything. While a lot of people do consider it a "hookup" site, I know that all the women I see on it, 99% of them ALL say right on their profile that they are NOT looking for a hookup. So if it's a "hookup site", why are they there? lol So my advice though to save yourself some time, is if you match with a guy and start talking, find out RIGHT AWAY by asking him what exactly he's looking for and wants. And tell him what you want. Don't make any assumptions ever.

+1 yDepends what you’re looking for to be honest. I know tinder couples.
I think on any app you use, you just have to weed out the ones only wanting hookups.
I didn’t like Tinder as much for actual dates. I always got matches but could never start an actual conversation. Bumble or Hinge are much better for dating. Met the guy I’m seeing now on Hinge :)20 Reply
+1 yI use tinder just for hookups and I've seen just two guys there who wanted serious relationship, but everyone is being clear from the beginning, so I don't see a problem. You can write in your bio that you are looking for something serious and hook-up people won't lose time dealing with you.
20 ReplyMy best friend met his wife on tinder, so I think it's possible, but personally I can't even spark a conversation. So my expectations are basically zero. I just pass time looking at girls, hoping something will happen, but not really taking any action.

+1 yI myself am only using it to find a relationship but i do think a lot of the guys do use it for hookups tbh. You can give it a try but dont get to high expectations, i did meet my ex trough tinder and we had a great relationship, things didn't worked out however but now giving it another shot.
10 ReplyI am trying hinge, and I haven't been impressed. I found my ex on tinder, but he ended up being a completely different person in the end. Tinder is only for hookups but people do find relationships on there very rarely.
I know with COVID it's tougher to meet people.10 Reply
Anonymous(36-45)+1 yI have been to a tinder wedding and I know several others who got serious relationships via the platform. They just avoided the ones who obviously were looking to hook up, and they made it clear that they looked for a relationship.
You can find a relationship anywhere you can meet people. You just have to be patient to sort out the people who do not :)..30 ReplyI don't expect anything from there, I'm happy with whatever I get from pine dating in general.
The Tinder hookup is a negative stereotype, but I'm sure it's common. I've just never had one, let's see what happens tomorrow when I'm seeing a girl off there though, we might end up in bed...10 Reply
Anonymous(36-45)+1 yIf you're in the U. S., then I think Tinder is used 95%+ for hookups. I learned on G@G that Tinder is not all about hookups in other countries though.
Assuming you live in the U. S., there are definitely better dating apps if you're looking for something more substantial. I met my boyfriend on OKC, but I would've considered trying Hinge too if I hadn't found him ❤20 Reply1.3K opinions shared on Dating topic. It's a hookup site, and a bigger proportion of women have sex through the app.
If you don't want to use it for sex, don't use it, that's the only thing it worth for.
I tried using it for friendships and I discovered that women with your discourse there are at the very least, most frequently full of shit.10 Reply

By going outside!! How do you live somewhere and not know where to go? Sports bars , cigar lounges, upscale restaurants, sporting events, volunteer, wineries, college , church.
I dont expect hookups. Girls that want those usually clearly say so. The ones who are roundabout make it clear on the date.
The ones who dont want a booty call say so as well10 Reply- 408 opinions shared on Dating topic.
+1 yI sure as hell never expected that but it seems like everyone else does. I was trying to be legit while using tinder. But as you'd expect that didn't help me at all. Deleted it years ago and never touched it again.
20 Reply Tinder was only good the 1st year max 2 that came out.
Now is shit!
Girls on tinder / bumble are absolutely delusional.
Good looking girls that are on there are looking for attention 90% I have have no interest of meeting anybody.
All the reject fat leftover (women) are on there looking to find a 25 year old brad Pitt that has everything they don’t.
Tinder is cancer!00 Reply507 opinions shared on Dating topic. Tinder is mostly hookups, the odds that you find a lifelong partner are slim. Bumble is way better for relationships.
20 Replymany does but there are a large potion who don’t necessarily look for that. Just ask the right question to figure that out

+1 yIt is all very very bizzare,
Women obsess with hooking up, but they are never happy with it - they either want more - or they feel ashamed/guilty afterwards and kind of leave/dump you over nothing - they go for raunchy when horny and then afterwards feel dirty or violated or lacking00 Reply13.2K opinions shared on Dating topic. Just be honest when you get a match — “I’m looking for a relationship.” Or put that in your profile. I know couples that met on Tinder.
10 ReplyThis is like looking for a souse at a swinger's club. It's possible, but unlikely.
20 ReplyI have a solution for you! Buy yourself a 50 pack of buisness cards and whenever you see a guy you like just drop all of them on the ground so he helps you pick them up with the inscription “ call me dude (insert number)” on every single one lol i gotch you!

Like seriously if women didn't primarily use it for hookups then it would not be a hookup site
Women seem oblivious to how these things work though
